The five things that actually drive the price
Window count. The biggest lever, and the most obvious one. Shutters are priced per window, so a 12-window home is a different project than a 30-window home. This is also why the “whole house or start small” decision is yours - the price scales with exactly what you cover.
Window size. A powder-room window and a 8-foot great-room window are different amounts of shutter. Bigger openings mean more material, more panels, and more engineering to keep the louvers straight for decades - especially in Arizona heat.
Material. Our Sanctuary poly shutters and Normandy wood shutters sit at different price points, and within wood, stained finishes involve more finishing work than painted ones. Material is also where the long-term math lives: the right material here is a one-time purchase; the wrong one is a subscription.
Shapes and specialty windows. Arches, angles, circles, and sliding-door applications take custom engineering and templating. They are also where shutters most outshine every alternative - a specialty-shape shutter turns the hardest window in the house into the best-looking one.
Options. Louver size, hidden tilt, divider rails, and frame styles fine-tune the look and function. Some options add cost; several of the best-looking choices add little or nothing. This is where an honest designer earns their keep - steering you to the options that change the room, not just the invoice.
