Anthem is the north Valley's signature master plan: opened by Del Webb in 1999 at the base of Daisy Mountain and Gavilan Peak, largely built out by 2008, and sitting noticeably higher than central Phoenix - parts of the community reach toward 2,400 feet, enough to soften summer evenings.
