Buckeye has been one of the fastest-growing cities in the entire country - it topped the national list in 2017, 2018, and 2021 - and it sits on an enormous footprint, the largest planning area of any city in Arizona. Almost everything here is new: the population near-doubled in the decade after 2010, and the housing is overwhelmingly master-planned production built from the 2000s on.

The communities tell the story. Verrado is the flagship - a New Urbanist plan against the White Tank Mountains with a walkable Main Street and its own Victory 55+ district - alongside Festival, Tartesso, Sundance, and Sienna Hills, and the vast new Teravalis plan just getting started.
