What we see in Eastmark homes.
Eastmark is one of the country's top-selling master plans - a Brookfield community in southeast Mesa built on the former General Motors Desert Proving Ground, opened in 2013 and grown to thousands of homes and around 20,000 residents in about a decade. Because it's so new, the housing is uniformly modern: low-E dual-pane glass, tall multi-slide doors, and two-story great rooms, almost always wearing the builder's temporary blinds when we first visit.
That makes Eastmark a first-owner market. Family villages sit alongside Encore at Eastmark, its 55-plus active-adult section, and both are usually making their first real window treatment decision after move-in. Shutters are the upgrade that reads as permanent instead of disposable, handles the strong east-valley sun, and finishes a new house for good - and with the community wrapped around the Great Park and Steadfast Farm, these are people settling in to stay.
Every project starts with the same honest choice: our worry-free Sanctuary composite or authentic Normandy wood - and a designer who helps you pick the right one for your windows, not the most expensive one.

From our Google reviews.
“My fiancé and I are incredibly happy with the shades we purchased for our new home! Janet set a great tone from the beginning, she was so knowledgeable and her great eye for design helped us pick out the right shades. Then Josh and Wyatt were great installers. They worked fast, were tidy, and respectful of our space! They were very communicative during the whole process!”
Eastmark plantation shutter questions, answered
The questions homeowners here usually ask before choosing shutters.
I just moved into a new Eastmark build - when should I order shutters?
Earlier than you'd guess. Custom shutters are built to your exact windows over a few months, so design and price before or right at move-in, then measure once you have keys - it shortens the wait to finished windows. Our new-home guide walks it through.

The builder's answer is a temporary shade; the lasting answers are sliding-door shutters, a panel-track shade, or drapery, depending on the door and how you use it. It has its own honest guide.

White Sanctuary poly, most of the time - durable against the sun, kids, and pets, covered for life by our written guarantee, and clean across a whole new home. Encore's single-level homes are especially straightforward.
