First, the thing every local clarifies: this is the city of Maricopa in Pinal County, south of the Gila River - not Maricopa County to the north. It is one of the fastest-growing cities Arizona has ever seen, going from barely a thousand people in 2000 to the most populous city in Pinal County today, and that means the housing is almost entirely new master-planned production.

Rancho El Dorado was the original plan - the community with the golf course - and it was followed by Glennwilde, Senita, Cobblestone Farms, Homestead, and the 55-plus Province. These are 2000s-and-later production homes with the era's signature windows: arch-top accents, two-story great-room glass, and wide sliders, most still wearing the builder blinds they came with. The oldest of that stock is now crossing twenty years, which puts Maricopa into a first-replacement wave right as new builds keep arriving behind it.
